This Privacy Policy explains what information BobbySearch (the "Service", available at bobbysearch.com) processes, why, and the choices you have. BobbySearch is operated by [legal entity name] ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy can be sent to [privacy contact email].
Search and chat text. When you run a search or send a chat message, the text is processed to produce results or an answer.
Search logs. Each search request is recorded in our internal statistics database with the search text, the page requested, the date and time, and a pseudonymous visitor identifier. The identifier is a salted cryptographic hash of your IP address; we do not store your IP address in that record, and we cannot reverse the hash to identify you. We use these records to count visits and popular searches and to keep the Service running. They are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Technical data. Like every website, our servers and our network provider receive standard request data such as IP address, browser type and requested page. We use it to deliver pages securely, to prevent abuse, and to limit request rates. Short-lived server logs are rotated automatically.
Cookies and similar technologies. Public search, answer and chat pages do not set cookies, and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, pixels or fingerprinting. Our site administration area, which only our staff use, uses a single session cookie that is necessary for sign-in.
Accounts. BobbySearch has no user accounts and no sign-in for visitors.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Answers and chat replies are generated by language models that run on servers we operate. Your search text and chat messages are not used to train, fine-tune or otherwise improve any AI model, whether ours or a third party's, and none of our AI providers are permitted to use them for training. Answers may be cached for a short time so that repeated questions are answered quickly. Cached answers are not linked to any person.
AI answers can contain errors. Please check important information before relying on it.
To answer some queries, our servers send the query text, and never your IP address or other identifying information, to outside sources. These include Wikimedia (Wikipedia), Google News, DuckDuckGo, WolframAlpha (calculations and factual data), LangSearch (web search), GDELT, and licensed news data providers. Each provider handles that text under its own privacy policy. Content from these sources is shown with its original source.
We use Cloudflare to deliver the Service, protect it against attacks, and cache pages. Cloudflare processes request data, including IP addresses, as described in its privacy policy.
We share information only with the service providers described above, when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of the Service, its users or others. We do not sell it.
Search logs are kept for 90 days and then deleted. Cached answers and cached pages expire automatically within days to weeks. Other technical logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the Service.
All connections to BobbySearch use HTTPS. Access to our servers is restricted and authenticated, and administrator passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
You can use BobbySearch without providing any personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we do not keep accounts and search logs do not contain your IP address, we usually cannot link stored records to you. If you believe a record relates to you, contact us at [privacy contact email] with the approximate date and the search text, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
BobbySearch is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Our servers are located in [server locations], and our network provider operates globally. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live.
